I love drawing, painting, crafting and giving inanimate objects faces. My illustration work is filled with colors, textures, and interesting characters that can be seen spilling over into my other artwork. As well as illustrating children’s books, I like to turn a lot of my artwork into greeting cards, stickers and prints. I love to work on large paintings, murals and sculptures too. I am constantly creating and crafting and will forever be grateful to do so.
I do all of my illustrating and other artwork, as well as run my online shop and teach children and teen art classes, out of my bright and cheery home studio in the Ellis Hollow area. It’s filled with giant cardboard flowers, yarn pom-poms, paper mache sculptures, paintings, stuffed animals and all the other art I have created over the years and it is one of my favorite places.
I am inspired by my magical children and our wild menagerie of pets, sunny days in Ithaca, rocks shaped like hearts and the ability to create wonderful little worlds with art.
