1 GREAT FALL ADVENTURE!
* Go on a wonderful fall adventure through peak fall foliage with artist studios as your destinations!
* On October 10-11 and 17-18, from 11:00am to 5:00pm each day, 36 fine & functional artists on the 28th annual Greater Ithaca Art Trail open their studios to visitors. (More info below!)

* The List/Map shows all 36 open artists. 27 are open both weekends, 3 just the first weekend and 4 just the second weekend. Artist names are linked to their profile page on this website, and their addresses are linked to google maps. There’s also a County and City map. (And there’s a google map on this site.)
* Make sure you have the latest version – The last date the PDF was updated was 10/17. There have been two updates since the original post.

Registration is not required to visit studios but it’s recommended so we can keep you updated with any potential studio closings, road closings, and more.
MORE ABOUT THE WEEKENDS
Each year, Greater Ithaca Art Trail Open Studio Weekends brings in more people from a larger geographic region, drawn by the variety of art on view. The Trail offers visitors a chance to meet painters, illustrators, photographers, sculptors, multi-media artists, printmakers, and potters. Along the way, you’ll see wood turning, calligraphy, gourd art, fine jewelry, kiln-formed glass, and more. The artists are thrilled to share their passion for their craft and show off what they’ve been working on.
“This is truly an amazing event because Tompkins County not only has a wealth of amazing artists, but it is a beautiful area to visit — especially in October when the fall foliage is at its peak,” said Robin Schwartz, CAP Program Director. “Being able to visit such an amazing group of artists and to see art where it happens is awesome!”
Some visitors come just to browse, taking in the experience and visiting. Others arrive with shopping lists in hand and find art priced from $10 to $5,000, with everything in between. Purchasing art can be an exhilarating experience, and connecting directly with the artist is part of what makes it special.
A past visitor described the experience this way: “I was blown away by the quality of the art that I saw and the really cool art studios. And I didn’t expect all the wonderful conversations I had with the artists. The Art Trail is such a unique and special event. And when you combine visiting such great artists with the beauty of the area, this is definitely going to be an annual event for me and I’ll be sure to bring heaps of friends each year!”
Since this is a self-guided adventure, each visitor can make their own plan. The distance from one end of the Trail to the other is about 15 miles. Some visitors pick a geographic region to explore; others concentrate on a particular medium.
