I am a Palauan/American digital artist. I was born and raised in Ithaca near Taughannock Falls. I have been painting for nearly 3 years. I started painting because a lot of Palauan history has been lost over time, and I feel like it is my responsibility to tell these stories as I am the last to know them. My art reflects my desire to tell the origin stories of both sides of my Palauan family: my great grandmother’s side – Udes Clan and my great grandfather’s side – The Basilius family, descendants from a Portuguese navigator back in the 1700’s.
My paintings of my Palauan family history were on display at my solo show in March 2026 at the CAP Art Space in the Tompkins Center for History and Culture.
I also paint local Finger Lakes birds and animals, as well as regional landscapes that have inspired me since childhood.
