I first fell in love with photography back in high school when I learned to develop black and white film in the dark room and had one of my photos featured in the school’s literary magazine. I was completely hooked, but it would take me over twenty-five years of working in the business world before I could pursue photography full-time.
Growing up on Lake Ontario in Oswego, New York, I always felt a connection to water and the natural world. Since then, I’ve also been fortunate to live in a few places that are profoundly beautiful: The San Franciso Bay Area, Boulder, Colorado and the lush Washington, DC/Maryland area. In 2017, I returned to upstate NY with my husband to raise our daughter closer to family. We chose Ithaca because the sacredness of the land and all the waterfalls spoke deeply to us. We initially settled in Fall Creek, just a few blocks from Cascadilla Falls. Taken by the region’s majesty, I began capturing it on daily walks. I started selling my work in 2022 as a way to share something meaningful with the local community.
Prints are for sale at Handwork Artisan Cooperative, and Sundrees in Trumansburg. I also sell my photographs at juried art shows in the Finger Lakes Region. I use a professional grade Canon printer and a variety of Moab fine art archival papers so my images will not discolor or fade with age. Please contact me if you would like something custom made.
