My passion for art began at the age of three, when I first picked up a crayon, and it has only grown since. I find endless inspiration in the rich interplay of color and nature, constantly fascinated by how they shape our emotions and perceptions. After studying art at Alfred University, I expanded my academic journey with a business degree from CCC, a BS in Marketing, and an MA in Liberal Studies from Empire State University. My career path led me to creative roles, including serving as Advertising Manager at Gannett Newspaper Division and Director of Corporate Relations for Johnson at Cornell. These experiences allowed me to blend my creative passions with a deep understanding of communication and business.
As a certified color therapist, Colormebeautiful analyst, and certified reflexologist, I have spent years honing my understanding of how color influences the human experience. I am also a GNSI scientific illustrator, a faculty member at 171 Cedar Arts, and an active Rotarian.
Currently, I teach color theory and painting, and my upcoming 2025-26 body of work explores the fascinating intersection of neural aesthetics, psychology, and our perception of color and imagery.
My painting process is a tactile and dynamic journey, often involving multiple layers of acrylic and oil on canvas or birch board. To finish, I apply a glossy layer of resin that not only seals in the artwork.
