My (she/her) studio is in our basement and my art is hung throughout our home. I was born and raised in Ithaca. My love of nature informs my photography and landscape paintings.
My husband and I travel half the year and I use those travels to gather source material for my work, whether it is photos I take of clouds out the window of the plane for my pastel cloud series, “From Above” or photos of lava fields in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for my National Parks and Naturerotica series. Recently, I have been celebrating the Finger Lakes with Plein Air painting in pastel and studying the peculiar geometry of the area gorges through my camera lens.
I picked up my art career in earnest during Covid after a 35 year hiatus. While I trained in sculpture in college, I fell in love with pastel and began painting for the first time in 2021. I am addicted. I am beginning to work more with gouache and learning to use my iPad as a canvas to paint on.

Studio accessibility
There’s a flagstone path with 2 shallow steps to front door; 10 stair steps to basement; 80’ paved driveway to garage which is open instead of my studio for accessibility during art trail weekends.
