Being an abstract mixed media artist I believe abstract art is like solving a puzzle. There are all these pieces that don’t seem like they would fit together, but you spend time with these pieces and work with them, and then you see it! You see how everything should come together, and it’s like this chaotic harmony’.

Living in Broome County for the majority of my life has proved to be an interesting environment to create art, especially abstract art. This town may seem big but it’s quite rural. It’s slow and very routine here. So creating abstract art in this area in a funny way almost seems like a rebellion.

I have been painting abstract art for 12 years. And my style has changed so much over these 12 years. At one point my work has been completely wild and at this point I’d call it structurally whimsical. I consider energy and frequency quite a bit when I’m creating a painting. The energy of a new piece can take me in a few different directions all at once. And it’s been fun and exciting being exploring these different places. The anticipation and excitement never wears off while I’m creating abstract art. I’m happy to say it’s a continuous source of Happiness and inspiration.
