My (They/Them) photography practice features 35mm & 120mm film, as well as digital photography. Through it, I capture the beauty of life in mundane moments found in blooming flowers or a place I associate with personal memory. My work is also playful and experimental, particularly with double exposure. I captured family members and friends, during special events and everyday to express my appreciation for them.
In my fine art, I use graphite, color pencils, charcoal, and pen and ink as well as oil painting to interpret and depict the essence of life. I add personal connection to my work through the addition of elements from my childhood. Each element carries the weight of personal narratives, and memories adding to it’s emotional weight. They are a vessel to channel nostalgia, and recapture dormant memories.
I invite viewers to join me on a visual journey where the beauty of life and memories converge. I hope that my work inspires viewers to be present and find the beauty in their own lives.
