I consider myself a gardener and an artist. Most of the flowers you see in my art are from my garden. Freeze drying makes it possible to keep the flowers for about a year or longer, if treated properly (no direct sunlight, avoid high humidity).
It is also a good way to preserve bouquets from the memorable moments. Since the flowers become very brittle and fragile after drying, shipping them is a big challenge. And not all flowers are suitable for freeze dry. I still have trouble with tulips and chrysanthemum!
My work is for sale. While some art pieces can be shipped after careful packaging, local pickup is highly recommended. I also offer service to freeze dry and preserve your flowers, local pickup only. Please get in touch to make an appointment.
Overall this process provides huge potential. The dried flowers can be put inside a frame, under a light, on a plate, inside a shadow box, or any artistic arrangement one can imagine.
