For as long as I can remember I  have made objects—when young, they were ephemeral. Permanence came with the discovery of needles, thread, fabric, wood, hammer, and nails. Weaving for more than 40 years, I am still fascinated with the process. The possibilities for combining different colors, patterns, and materials never ends. Exploring those options fills shelves at Handwork Coop in downtown Ithaca with one-of-a-kind scarves, rugs, woven metal baskets, wood, and metal sculpture.

I will always make art. It is how I respond to what is happening in the world. Wound about and woven into the living processes of the earth, art is my way of examining our relationship to nature, to the earth and to others.
