My studio is my small country home where the quiet inspires my art making in various media. A common thread in my artwork is a felt sense, as in oil paint, merino wool, and porcelain, and the feelings elicited from the made art.

As an artist and teacher, I created in the classroom with my students until I retired. I used Art Based Research in my dissertation to understand how a personal creative practice related to my teaching. Now making personal art is my joy.

My art making includes a pottery studio. I love the feel of porcelain. I have a loom, a spinning wheel, and I also felt wool. I make watercolor portraits and large abstract paintings in oil. I love making hand made paper and mono prints. I collage these papers and other material from my gardens.
