My studio is in my home. My intention is to reflect peace and mindfulness in my art while using ordinary and recycled things.
The bright and soft palate on my paintings lets the eye rest and wonder about the mix of real and surreal. My desire is that through my art one might reflect, ponder or wonder.
Growing up in Mexico and being enculturated in the USA has given me an appreciation for both cultures while learning from past and contemporary artists. My tenacity for expressing myself and my story through art found a home here in Ithaca where I get inspired by its surrounding and its people.
I paint mainly in acrylic for its dynamic and versatility. I combine recycled and ordinary objects within the painting to strike and provide a rupture to the canvas. My art is an expression of my migration story. I have been creating most of my life and can easily accommodate requests.
