I hope you can visit my studio and gallery overlooking our wooded yard.

I’m looking forward to showing my new abstract works, including my Botanical Series of oil paintings.

I’m also offering Art Trail discounts of 25% – 50% off a large selection of early landscapes, select abstracts, and archival prints.

Plus, I’m extending my open studio hours for nine days! Oct 14 – 22. 11am – 5pm.

I’ve been painting since I was 14, when I received my first professional set of oil paints. My interest in painting led to a BS degree in Fine Art and Philosophy from the University of Rochester. I also earned my certification to teach art in public school and taught locally for ten years. Whenever I could, between raising children and teaching art, I would go out into the beautiful natural areas around Ithaca and paint.

Early in my career, I painted impressionistic landscapes. More recently, I’ve been exploring modern abstract painting. I enjoy discovering new experimental techniques such as acrylic collage and painting with layers of transparent inks and watercolors. I am intrigued by the endless variety of compositional structures and arrangements of shapes, lines, and colors that offer new visual experiences.

I am a member of State of the Art Gallery, Ithaca, New York, and represented on the international online galleries Saatchi Art and Singulart. My work has been exhibited regionally in both solo and group shows. My paintings are owned by collectors in the United States, England, Austria, Sweden, Australia, and Japan.
