At Turtle Island we believe in the power of beauty to please and
transform. We're dedicated to creating beautiful objects, ceremony
and scenery. We welcome you to see potter's wheel demonstrations
and Japanese Tea Ceremony at our studio and to visit our upstairs
gallery of current work. Our pottery is elegant and functional, the
tea delicious and calming and the gardens wonderful!

BIOGRAPHY
I began my pottery career 37 years ago while attending SUNY Cortland as a psychology major. Since then, my studios have evolved from a stall in a cow barn to my present studio overlooking Inlet Valley. I have been a contributing artist at Ithaca Farmer's Market for over 28 years, and a member of Handworks, a local craft cooperative, for 23 years. Over the years I have received awards at numerous shows, run a pottery school here in Ithaca with 2 other potters called Clayworks, and continued to support local community efforts, such as Empty Bowls, Women's Swimming, Kitchen and Hangar Theaters as I strive to combine my love for pottery with my love for the Ithaca area.
